~ Aquí~

 Be present. Life goes by.

As an artist who is trying to break into the industry, like many others, I tend to linger too much in the future. To imagine how things would be if I were to get better in my trade. Where I would live. The friends I would make.

It might seem logical to some, but the present is better. Its what you have now. Enjoy it.

This was my window this afternoon, and my cat Sanji.

Trying to think more simply and clear my mind of clutter .

~ CTN and some new things~

Hello! Its been  long time since I've posted on this blog.

It has been a long and troublesome year, but a great one none the less. I painted a lot less than I would have liked to, and I'm trying to get back into it.

I had a booth this year at CTN and it was wonderful. I can't wait for next year!

Either way, here is a small thing I've been working on or my portfolio. I still think I'll paint it all over again. The problem here is that I chose way too many light sources and it got overly complicated to paint. Advice from friends was never to have more than 2 light sources or it will get too difficult to make work.

~ Terra Brandford for KKG book

Some months ago I found out about a great organization named Gamers for Good. At the time the KKG book was not even halfway through!

Here is an extract with some information on Kevin, the person for whom the book was created:

"Kevin Kanai Griffith is a very dear friend to many in the game development community. He currently works at  Blizzard as Artist on the Diablo 3 team.  KKG has been fighting a rare and ruthless form of cancer known as Alveolar Soft Part Sarcoma (ASPS). Kevin will be the benefactor of the proceeds from our first service project, KKG Artbook. You can see some of the history of Kevin fight against cancer here."

I read about the cause and decided that helping would be wonderful, because, how often do we help other artists who are in need?

And so, I created this piece for the book. Even though you've seen it here and on my facebook page, the book will surely be loaded with the most wonderful art for a great cause.

You can support this cause by buying the book when its out.

Another great way to show your support is purchasing Gamer for Good Tshirts

Also, here is an article on Kotaku, about the book .

~Be gentle, be kind~

Something I made for myself. The bunny is my logo (  ) , and the crown of roses is inspired by my grandmother’s garden, which she used to love dearly.

The world need more gentleness and kindness, I feel, this is something we must remind ourselves and others.

Might be doing some prints and t-shirts of this! Are you intrested? reblog  on tumblr with your comment! or leave a comment here!

 200 re-blogs and I’ll host a giveaway!
